I went to school to be a scientist, but that was always more an excuse for tinkering. For me, tinkering is a lifelong practice of creative resilience. Through Takoma Tinkery I hope to promote tinkering as part of a scientific approach to inspiring and propagating the tools of community resilience.

I think tinkering is part of what makes life fun. It's about trying your best and learning the rest (along the way). It's about making abundance through the alchemy of thrift and time.

To be clear, I am not a life coach or contractor or trained tradesperson of any kind. I'm just a strange but earnest person who loves helping others be bold and creative and making the world a bit brighter along the way.

If you're interested in my professional qualifications, please consider checking out my academic research, my public newsletter, and my vlog (well, plog) as needed. If you've read this far, and you're still interested, there's a good chance we can probably find something good to tinker on.

I consider myself a lifelong learner, but I also have a lot to share and occasionally, teach. Head to my services page page to find out about what I offer and and reach out if you think you'd like to work with me. Let's start a conversation!
